Well, Melbourne Indesign 2016 has come and gone for another 2 Years.
This year we partnered with Clarke Hopkins Clarke, and explored the evolution of colour….. How can we shape our workplaces into communities of innovation and creative thinking?
Based in the hip ‘Gent Factory’ in Cremorne, our stand was hard to miss with bright sheer fabrics and colourful flooring tiles complementing the bright and lively pieces presented by ECF.
MID 2016 was an opportunity for ECF to present our new range of European products. We launched products from Sedus (Germany) and Martela (Finland) along with a number of other international brands.
It was a massive two days. Friday saw a well-attended timed event ‘They stole my design’ – a panel discussion covering the intellectual property of furniture design and the fake furniture that floods our market. This was followed by our VIP event where we invited our guests to join us for a taste of European flavours in ‘Food, Wine and Furniture’, an opportunity to sit on, relax in, admire and enjoy the scale, colour and design of each piece of our new product range.
With the coffee flowing on Saturday morning, we saw a constant stream of designers, architects and industry professionals flow through ‘Gent Factory’. We had a huge positive response to our newly released products with the highlights being the Koop, Vivero Doremi, Mastermind high table with turnaround chairs and the Secretair. The Tomoko was a definite crowd pleaser for photographs and it has been great to see the Instagram and Facebook posts from the day.
Overall it was a great success and we would like to thank all those who visited over the two days. We would also like to acknowledge Signature Flooring, Zepel Fabrics and our colleagues at the Meta Alliance, who all assisted in the lead up to the event. Finally, special thanks to the wonderful team at ECF and the creative Clarke Hopkins Clarke Team (Han Chua and Mridula Bhatia) for their contributions to making the event a great experience!
